Contest: How bad will I get my ass kicked?

I am running the USATF Cross Country Nationals in St. Louis on Saturday. Currently there are 78 entered runners.

Guess what place I will finish. Closest wins a prize. One entry per person, and the first person to guess a place will win, so don't guess a place that has already been posted. In the event of a tie, where two people are 1 position off, the winner will be the person who guessed the better finishing position. For example, if two people guess 65th and 67th, and I finish 66th, the guess of 65th will win.

Also take into account that I doubt that exactly 78 runners will start the race. We already know that Ritzenhein has dropped out and perhaps more will do the same. Or maybe more will enter.

I sampled 5 runners of the 78 and four had faster 10K times than yours. Also, in 2011, there were 108 registered and 91 finished (16% DNS). Taking all that into consideration and knowing that 5 is not really a valid statistical sample, I am guessing 53rd place.

I actually won't be. I'm heading down there with Matt Flaherty, he who that took my crown as fastest lawyer in Chicago, and he's in very good shape right now....
