I heard about this too. Just makes me angry. And incredibly sad. What kind of person hurts a child? I don't understand it at all. Nine years old. Just awful.

The kind of person that was hurt themselves as a child. Unfortunately, we learn from our parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, priests, rabbis, anyone who had influence over us as a child. Apple does not fall far from the tree.

This of course is no excuse but simply the lessons we learn as a child we take out on others. In this case another child.

We can only hope there is an awakening of the soul for people before they follow the same pattern. Typically it takes a few falls first before we wake up. In this case, a child's life. Very Sad!

How horrifying! This is so sad, and it brings to mind the family in China whose child runs 3 hr runs. Not that it is the same, but I still think children should be children.
