Pick-up at the finish line tomorrow? Empty Pick-up at the finish line tomorrow?

Post  Mike MacLellan Sun Apr 15, 2012 12:10 pm

Thanks to Chris for giving my parents such good info last night, though they hit me with a question today that I don't know the answer to... Anyone:

How close can they expect to get to park/pick me up? They know they're not going to see the finish, but I don't want to walk halfway up the course to get to them, y'know? Any tips?

Couple of options. They can come into downtown and park as close as they can get and then you can arrange where to meet them, you can take the "T" out to meet them somewhere, or they can take the "T" in to meet you somewhere (of course that means that you still have to take the "T" too, so why make them come in? Very Happy ).

Recommendation? Come up to Chris' room in the Westin after the race, and after a few beverages, arrange a time and place to meet your folks somewhere out in the 'burbs. Maybe the Green Line to Riverside?

I like the recommendation. I may have to run that one by my parents. Might have to +1 with Aileen, though; I don't want to leave her with them longer than necessary. What a Face

Mike - my Mom has had success in the past parking under the Westin and/or Marriott Copley. Easy to get to off the Mass Pike Copley exit or Rte 9 which becomes Huntington Ave. They might also be able to park at the Prudential center again coming off the Huntington Ave side.

As for. Of having Aileen spending too much time with them, remind me to scold you later
