I eased back on the barefoot running this week to let the skin on the soles of my feet grow back. Smile

Mon: 60 minutes low HR (4.5 miles) on the treadmill
Tue: 2.1 mile lunchtime walk
Wed: 2.6 mile lunchtime walk
Thu: Too busy to run, so an unplanned rest day. tongue
Fri: 8.3 miles at low HR
Sat: Rest
Sun: 60 minutes extra-low HR run (4.2 miles); 1 mile barefoot

Total: 18 miles running (1 mile barefoot); 4.7 miles walking

My soles feel restored, so I'm good to do a bit more barefoot next week.

Tu-4mi repeats 6:29,6:39,6:33,6:33=9mi total with warm-up & recovery.
W-5mi@7:37 pace-5am (empty streets)
Th-4mi easy treadmill
Fr- travel
Sa- Race Bayshore 10K PR (39:27) = 9mi total w/ warm-up/cool down
Su- 4 mi recovery on Day's Inn tiny treadmill, low survey marks for fitness center, hah!
31mi week 833 YTD

M - Hiked out of the wild. ~12mi w/ a 35lb pack. 4hr40min.
T - Slept.
W - Ran an hour.
Th - Ran just under 2 hours. First 45min with my brother.
F - Ran an hour.
S - Ran an hour with Aileen.
S - Ran just under 2 hours. First 30min with Aileen.
Today - Driving 9hrs.

Total for the week - Ran lots, ate lots, drank lots.

Kevin, I wish we could hear more about the marathon.

Mon - 9.5 miles with 4 x 1.25 at 10K pace
Tue - 6.7 miles
Wed - Rest
Thu - 10.1 miles
Fri - 8.5 miles
Sat - 13.1 miles
Sun - 8.5 miles

Week - 47.9 miles

Photos and a report, Kevin!

Mon -6 mile Progression Run - 9 min down to 7:15 for last mile
Tues - Easy 5 mile recovery run
Wed- 5 miles in early am (5:15 am) with a friend
Thurs - 6.67 hilly miles
Fri - 12.5 miles with last 4 @ 8:30 or less
Sat - 6 miles with Peachtree Group. Started us at 9:50 pace, finished at 9:22
Sun - Day off Graduation Activities.

Totals for the week: 41.17 miles YTD: 878

Week 3 of 6 of recovery period:

Mon: 8
Tues: 4
Wed: 6
Thurs: 4
Fri: 4
Sat: off
Sun: off - Felt some tightness in my achilles so I bailed on the SF10 and any running for the weekend. Better safe than sorry, as I want to be 100% by June 18th when I start training for real again.

I only ran three days last week for a total of 16 miles. I said I would take two down weeks after the marathon and I did it. I'm proud of myself.

Now it's time to start running with regularity again.

mon - 7 1min hard/1 min easy for 25 min., 30 min elliptical
tues - 13.5
wed - 10
thurs - 6 am, 4 pm, 3 later pm (it was just so nice out!)
fri - 7
sat - 26.2 for the heck of it
sun - 12 mid-day 90+ heat acclimation
mpw= 89 miles
ytd = 1,510

Wed: 5 miler run + 13 mile bike
Thu: 12 mile run + 30 minute swim
Fri: 12 mile run
Sat: 30 min trainer
Sun: 19 mile run + 30 min trainer
