M - long drive back to Davis.
T - 4hr50min cycling; up a 4000' mountain.
W - 35min AM, 30min PM; pretty pooped.
Th - 1hr4min easy.
F - off/12min shakeout with Aileen.
S - 1hr57min half marathon with Aileen. Her first, on a trail, with strong winds, and she crushed her 2hr goal!
S - ~35min forthcoming + 2mi walk for an event put on by a Deaf organization around here.

Week - tiring.

Lots of distractions this week, but I managed to squeeze in some activity.

Mon: Took Alec to the orthodontist (Good news: He doesn't need braces yet. Bad news: He needs four teeth pulled.)
Tue: 3.8 miles walking
Wed: 2.1 miles barefoot running
Thu: 50 minutes low HR (4.1 miles)
Fri: Repeats/form drills! About a dozen and a half fast dashes as a lab rat for Nike
Sat: Rest
Sun: 120 minutes low HR (10.1 miles)

Total: 16.5 miles running (2.1 of them barefoot), 3.8 miles walking

Tu-60min Strength workout
W-8mi @7:53 pace
Th-60min Strength workout
Fr-6mi @8:00 pace
Sa-8mi easy by Lake Geneva then 2 mi@recovery pace later with friend (a double, hah)
Su- off (tomorrow starts a new marathon cycle for Chicago)
30mi week 863 YTD

Way too much going on, but did get in some miles.....

Mon - 6 miles + striders Tough with so much going on.
Tues - 6.2 miles
Wed - 4 miles Limited time as I had to get back quick to meet the packers.
Thurs - 7.2 miles Wanted to do 10-12, but just felt awful and tired. Packers finished their work today.
Fri - 7 miles Cool front came through and the temps were in the low 60s. Movers came at 8 am!
Sat - 6.3 miles with Peachtree Training Group 55F!
Sun - 6 miles @ 8:30 pace + striders

Total for the week: 43 miles YTD: 921

Didn't get in a long run, but still got in 43 miles, so I'm happy considering the packers and movers came.

A little late in posting:

Mon 6 with 1 @ 5k pace - was hard
Tue 4 recovery
Wed off
Thu 6 w 8 strides
Fri 3 easy
Sat 3 easy
Sun USATF Masters 10k Championship 39:17 PR by 29 sec. 4th in AG -- missed a medal by 6 seconds. Ouch - disappoining. No legs at the end just two weeks after my last marathon.

Nicely done Michael! Tough call ... qualifier marathon or USATF Masters Championship ... or is it? Play your cards right next time and we'll see you on the podium. Well done.
