Trying to keep the mileage down and work on complete recovery.

Monday 6 with friends
Tuesday 5 with 3 sets of 1000 at 10K, 100 rest, 300 at mile pace, 200 rest
Wednesday off
Thursday 8 3x(400x4) with warm up and cool down and calisthenics.
Friday off
Saturday 7 up to Pre's Rock and back (hills)
Sunday 5 easy
TOTAL 31

Monday - 4.5 easy. Till dodging lots of tree debris
Tuesday - Day off
Wednesday - 5.5 with striders
Thursday - 4.5 easy
Friday - Core & weight class
Saturday - 10 miles. Negative split run - 46:30 out, 44:15 back
Sunday - Easy recovery 6

Total for the Week: 30.5

One more week of taper, still undecided on whether to run or not, it will depend if all the swelling goes away. In the last three days, the swelling has definitely gone down, I think the rest days have helped with the healing process. Either way, I am going to Philadelphia as I am visiting some relatives there.

Mon - rest
Tue - 6.25 miles with 10 x 1 minute intervals
Wed - rest
Thu - 8 miles with 3x1.25 tempo intervals, also 3x200 meters
Fri - rest
Sat - 12 miles with 6 a MP
Sun - rest

Week - 26.25

Sa-7mi trail DISASTER srtikes. rock large enough to cause damage too small to see. Sprained foot

Week 1 of training for Houston Half:

Mon: 5 recovery + 8 easy
Tues: 6 recovery + 10 with 4 x 1 mile
Wed: 5 recovery + 8 easy
Thurs: 6 recovery + 10 with 6 mi tempo
Fri: 6 recovery + 6 recovery
Sat: 10 with 5k XC race + 5 recovery
Sun" 6 recovery + 14 long run

Week: 105

I think I ran about 60 this week with two days completely off. I mistakingly got a deep tissue massage after Saturday's long run - still feeling that one. Very dumb.

Highlights were:

Thursday: 12 mi @ 6:45 avg (7.5 miles at 6:25 avg); probably the best I have ever felt at the end of a tempo-type run. Did the last 1.5 of the 7.5 mile segment at 6:16 pace

Sat: 18 @ 7:10ish with 6 miles sub 7

One more hard week of training and three more hard workouts before taper time!
