Re: Your Week in Training Dec 3 - 9
Glad to see you got some running in, Kevin!
Just walking this week. No hydrocodone or ibuprofen since Tues but have been taking Tylenol since.
M 3 mi
Tues 4 mi
Wed 4 mi
Thurs 5 mi
Fri 5 mi
Sat just worked
Sun 5 mi walk with a few running strides thrown in ,still painful but I've been Tylenol free all day!
I ran 1 step Thurs and 3 Fri and still very painful. I see my surgeon Tues for a follow up appt and maybe he can give me a better idea of when I'll be running again.

Pair of rides + pair of weight training sessions + single run. Hoping to get another few miles once I wake up.

Re: Your Week in Training Dec 3 - 9
Kevin, glad your NSAID intake is down. I take that as a good progress on recovery. Do you know a natural traditional Chinese NSAID, Alcohol? I am not kidding, liquor helps blood circulation. At least that's what we used to believe and continue to, maybe because of wrong reasons.
Lets see what lazy Jerry did last week:
Mon: 2, oh, this guy can never change his laziness.
Tue: 17
Wed: lazy, I knew he can't change.
Thu: 11
Fri: 12
Sat: 13
Sun: 20
Weekly: 75

Probably he should stop referring to himself as lazy.

All I have to say is, thank goodness for Jerry. The mantle of high-mileage guy of the week was just too much pressure!

Re: Your Week in Training Dec 3 - 9
Well finally found my motivation again! I guess it helps now that Lisa is working from home and helps out with Kristina so I can get out and run while we wait for our new treadmill. Plus being able to get a normal night of sleep sure does go a long way compared to running a 3am in the morning! I basically took off the last two weeks to clear my head and give my body a much need break.
Week 1 of 4 weeks of base building:
Monday: 8 miles easy

Wednesday: 11 miles easy
Thursday: 8 miles easy
Friday: 8 miles easy
Saturday: 7.25 miles easy
Sunday: 15 miles easy
Total: 63.35 miles

Re: Your Week in Training Dec 3 - 9
Ran 40 miles for the week that included a 19:11 PR 5k race. Was shootin for sub 19 but haven't been training any speed since R2B so not too bad I guess.
Will start serious Boston training this week. Up to high 40s in mileage. Am going to follow the Hanson's plan and see what happens. Requires a bit more discipline on the days you run so it might be tough given my work/travel schedule. We shall see.

I am Queen of Lazy (when not running). There's a large pile of laundry that's been sitting on a couch waiting to be folded for a whole week. The only reason I'll put it away today is b/c my husband is coming home from a work trip and I don't want to see the look on his face if it's still there from when he left on Sunday!

Ha Whitney, you sound like me. Never quite got the hang of balancing full-time training with chores. Nice 20/30.
