Week 2: Building slowly, still an extra rest day

Mon - 6.2 miles easy
Tues - Day off, travel home from NY, snowing
Wed - 4 easy in ice/snow
Thurs - 6 miles with 10 x 30s pickups
Fri - No running, 30 min workout
Sat - 10 hilly miles
Sun - 3.5 recovery miles

Total for the week: 29.7

Hey Jim, the HR is still a bit high but it is stabilizing and getting better mainly because I am not running much and keeping crosstraining to recovery mode HR. THe main problem is still the knee - the swelling is down a little. I am in week 2 of a month mostly off of running. If after a month, the swelling is still there, it will probably mean arthroscopy. I really did a number on myself here.

Finished up the year with 2500 running miles.
Let me see, OH, yea I have a 50 miler coming up in April. I'm nursing an ankle issue back to health thus the elliptical time.

Mon: Yoga X + 45 minutes elliptical
Tue: 8 miles
Wed: Core Synergistics (22 prison cells) + 1 hour elliptical
Thu: X Stretch + Ab Ripper + 30 minutes elliptical
Fri: Core Synergistics (26 prison cells) + 20 minutes elliptical + 3 mile run + Ab Ripper
Sat: 20 miles on snow covered trails 4.5 hours
Sun: 10 miles

WTD: 41
YTD: 41

Here's to a great year of training for all!

Cool. That's explains why my legs were not fresh this morning cause I did 53 miles last week. lol!

W: 15 moderate - fell and dislocated shoulder after stepping in a pothole halfway through run. Ouch.
