Yes, at first I thought you got a cassette player for your bike. Then I googled the term and saw what it was.

Re: Your Week in Training May 27 - June 2
Mon - 7 miles easy
Tue - 8 miles with 4 miles at MP
Wed - off
Thu - 6.5 miles
Fri - 5 miles
Sat - 10 miles
Week - 36.5 miles
YTD - 664 miles
Still struggling with the effort it's taking to do even easy runs.

Re: Your Week in Training May 27 - June 2
Mon - ran a Memorial Day Mile - never run that distance before so automatic PR @ 5:41. Weird distance when you haven't done it since jr. high. I think I can be quite a bit faster but would take some practice. How fast can you go and not totally wipe yourself out by 1200. Hmmmm.
Tue - 4
Wed - 8
Thu - 7. Interesting workout. 3x1000 @ 6:00 pace with 400 jog followed by 2x400 at 5:45 pace/
Fri - was really sore so did an easy 6
Sat - a shakeout run of 4
Sun - Dexter to Ann Arbor 5k in 18:46. New PR for me. Should probably be 20 seconds faster according to the prediction charts. Gaining on it. This distance is a bitch. 20 minutes of pain. Was second overall Master. 1st AG.
First time ever - 2 races in one week
Total for week: 45

Re: Your Week in Training May 27 - June 2
All cycling except one on Friday
M - flying home from DC
T - 27.6mi on the "usual route" from parents' house, set a PR by over 5min (2300' climbing); weights
W - supposed to be ~75mi, cut it at 50mi, apparently I got excited yesterday (3600' climbing)
Th - 20mi recovery (1650' climbing); weights
F - 10min run (warming up with a buddy at the gym), shin not TOO angry, but not happy; weights; 31.8mi on the "usual route" from Aileen's house, set a PR by a lot (1100' climbing)
S - moving to our new apartment!
S - 68mi with the group up here (2900' climbing)
Week - 197.4mi w/ 11600' climbing... and a 10min run.
Yes, you read that correctly. Aileen and I moved into our first place together on Saturday. And yes, I got up bright and early the next morning to go on a 4hr ride.

Running is better than not. I've been walking at least.

Re: Your Week in Training May 27 - June 2
Still only got in 3 days running:
5/29 Wed: 4.1 mi
5/30 Thu: 5.1 mi
6/1 Sat: 6.4
No real changes this week...still run/walk 1 minute each. My breathing and my running did feel better Saturday than any other day I ran. Hope things improve this week.

Couple years ago I did an indoor open mile (1600) two weeks in a row and both were exactly 5:41, funny!mountandog wrote:Mon - ran a Memorial Day Mile - never run that distance before so automatic PR @ 5:41. Re: Your Week in Training May 27 - June 2
Big week: Most miles ever, longest run ever.
Tue: 4 miles walking
Wed: 3.1 miles barefoot, 3.1 miles walking
Thu: 6.3 miles low HR
Fri: 10.3 miles on hills
Sat: Rest
Sun: 10.3 miles low HR
Mon: 27.27 mostly hilly miles - on pavement (longest run ever, first beyond marathon distance)
Week: 64.3 miles (most ever)
My plan for this coming week is to come fairly close to the total miles, though the runs may differ.
