Happy 4th of July!!!

Any plans to run today??

I am heading out now for a four miler.  Then it is off to a parade and BBQ.  Followed by fireworks
     

No run, but about to head out on a 25 mile bike ride.  Happy 4th everybody!

No running for me but two of my friends placed first in their age groups at a local 2 miler. I am happy for them.

 237.  Easy for me as I was a Bicentennial baby.

Ran 3 miles earlier.

Have since been cutting back brush, vines, tree limbs, etc.

Sweating profusely. Just decided I desperately needed a break from the sun, heat and humidity. So, I came inside, where at least it's not sunny!!

Just an easy 4 miler today.  We thought about running the local 10K (about an hour from here), but the rain kept us close by.  Looks like the fireworks on the lake might be a wash.

I get to work the evening shift tonight, so I'm sure the police and fire scanner will be crackling with reports of burning bushes, ticked off neighbors and various drunken antics.

Have mercy on your first responders (and newspaper staffers) and be safe out there! End the night with the same number of fingers you started with, please.

What nobody raced on the 4th?  I ran in a local 10K that we do every year.  It's a hoot.  They bus us up a gravel road and we run back to town.  This year in addition to leaping over the cattle guard and dodging cow pies we got to dodge the cows!  It's a really fun race.  I won my age group with a time of 50:43.  Third time I've finished in 50:xx but I still haven't been able to get in under 50.

In addition to the race we had a huge family BBQ and we still have visitors at the house.  We're also getting really busy on the farm...

Happy running if I don't have time to check in much in the next few days.

Ran 23 miles on trails for the 4th came home and relaxed with Lisa and Kristina and had a couple of beers. Followed up the 4th run with a 30 miler yesterday. Getting ready to head out the door for 13 to 15 miles in about an hour.

Hoo-boy, someone is pouring on the mileage! I need to catch up on everyone's training.
