photos updated -No running since January - my excuse

Friday July 26th my husband and I met our twin boys face to face. They are very sweet and in the NICU but hoping they get home next week. It are very thankful to have them. I have been on bed rest twice for 6-7 weeks so I have a lot of deconditioning going on and am very tired with taking care of their needs but I really will get back into running here this fall, I'm pretty sure. Right now I'm limited to walking (and have no idea how I'd find time to run).

Josiah Elliot was 5 lbs 9 oz
Noah Dietrich was 5 lbs 3 oz

They were late preterm so have a few preemie issue they're working on in NICU but are continuing to make good progress.

WOW, you are going to have your hands full! Congratulations, that is indeed wonderful news, and you are blessed. Happy to hear that you made it through the bed rest period without incident and are ready to start raising Josiah and Noah. Beautiful names. Best to you all!

Congratulations!!!!!!  I was wondering if you were lying low because you were pregnant or if you were just trying - must be woman's intuition, but I just didn't want to pry.  My daughter was a preemie and a bit smaller than your twins.  I found the neo-natal nurses to be awesome (and a godsend since they taught my husband how to handle an infant).  You will fill the time and just remind yourself that you indeed will need the time.  Remember, you are not being selfish if you wish to run and wish to do so without a jogging stroller.  Never feel guilty for a bit of me time as a Mom - especially with now three children.

Congrats!  Glad to hear the boys are doing okay and making progress.  Glad to hear you're doing well, as well.  Rest up and run when you feel ready.  Be sure to post some pictures soon!

Thank you all for sharing in my family's joy. We hope to get them out of NICU early next week. They keep making good progress but have a few things to get checked off on, mostly maintaining body temp without the warmers.

Congrats Julie. That's awesome.  A woman I work with had twin boys a couple of years ago and she definitely has her hands full.  She loves it though.

WOW, Julie...congratulations !!!  Your two young men are so very adorable!  We have twin granddaughters that are about to visit us.  They are 12 now and still keep everyone hoping.  Enjoy every moment...they grow up so darn fast.

Thank you! Blond or maybe strawberry blond, I think. My daughter turned more blond than strawberry and she had more red at this age but I think they all vary depending on the lighting.

We're in the NICU at least until next Thurs now because Josiah had a breathing episode alarm yesterday and they need 5 days without any alarm events. Hoping to get us all together soon!
