Great job to you, Lisa! Thank you Lisa and Michele for the encouragement. It's hard getting out the door on so little sleep but it's been good to get out, too.

Ran 74 for the week.  With a tough workout (6 Miles @ 6:40) and a 20 miler yesterday with miles 16 & 17 @ 6:50.   I really don't know what to expect for Chicago.  Also wondering whether or not a 20 this close was foolish, but my mileage was so down after the injury I felt I had to push my training as close as possible.

Isn't Chicago on the 13th?  If so, you will be fine as it is really a 2-wk taper which is what I do all the time.  Just make sure to take any extra time or lower mileage days if your body indicates that you need them.

we shall see come the 13th.  I prefer 3 wk tapers, but have done 2 in the past.  So hopefully NBD.  So the real question is what pace in Chi?  So I plan to run a 10k on Saturday to gauge my fitness.  a hard 10k 8 days before the marathon.  This will be a new adventure.
