Tue - 6x1 at Hansen tempo
Wed - rest
Thu - 9.5 miles at MP
Fri - took off due to foot PF pain

Sun - took off due to foot PF pain

Started taking NSAIDs, icing and stretching this foot. I've never had this before, it's painful. Not sure about the marathon next Sunday, pretty frustrated.

John, mine has acted up since I stopped biking regularly.  Maybe go for a couple of bike rides early this week if you can and see if that stretches it out a bit.  Regardless, hope it gets better.

Was the 26.2 a sub 3? Probably not. Heehee. But I have never hit high 80s.

Thanks Jim. It really hurt all weekend so I was a little discouraged. Taking the NSAIDs and icing has definitely helped some. I've been doing a lot of reading on this and I wonder if my switch to neutral shoes is the cause (over time). I have fairly flat feet but don't pronate so figured I didn't need stability. I picked up a pair today and will see if they help at all the rest of the week.

Just a training run organized by a buddy of mine.  It was a 5.2 mile loop that featured a 400ft climb over the first 2 miles and giant rollers with a net downhill over the last 3 miles.  It was billed as a marathon but I was the only person that actually stayed for 5 loops.  There were some beautiful views to ease the pain.
