No - wasn't able to...

Mrs. Schuey wrote:Who did you want to see win and why?
Didn't matter - probably dumb, but I hate seeing people "lose" after I know how hard they train to even be there. Besides the obvious reason why Kara has so many fans, she seems very genuine. I would have a hard time with the Hannibal Lector mask....

Mrs. Schuey wrote:What is the next race you have and where?
10K peachtree road race in Atlanta.

Mrs. Schuey wrote:What motivates you to get out and run and why?
Want to get faster and I know it is a long process. Feels good to push myself. Want to keep weight under control.

Mrs. Schuey wrote:Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running?
I use Yankz so I never worry about it

Mrs. Schuey wrote:Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking?
Someone is always watching...

Mrs. Schuey wrote:Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days?
Now that I don't get them any more, I really miss snowy days!

Mrs. Schuey wrote:What is your least favorite movie?
Any movie with a really depressing ending. I hate investing an hour or more of my life just to end up feeling bad about something. I was forced to watch Out of Africa one time by the females in my family. Bad time investment....

Did you watch the 2011 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships last night?
No. But I'm going to watch it on TV.

Who did you want to see win and why?
I'm still bad at following running. Shoot, I really need to work on this.

What is the next race you have and where?
10k, July 4, about 10 minutes away.

What motivates you to get out and run and why?
A mixture of habit, boredom, drive/purpose (50 miles, baby!), and simple enjoyment.

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running?
Double-knot.

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking?
I dance like an idiot, regardless.

Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days?
I'm used to rainy days, and can stand the temperature a bit better than snow days; however, having never lived in a snowy place, it's still got that novelty factor to me.

Define a really funny question?
Huh?

What is the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup?
High-fructose corn syrup.

What is your least favorite movie?
Good question. I really don't know. Battlefield Earth (I think that was the name?) was pretty awful. Oh, I've got it. The Ring. Fuck. That. Movie.

you watch the 2011 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships last night?

DVR will watch tonight so don't spoil it!

Who did you want to see win and why?

The winner!

What is the next race you have and where?

5 mile race Belmar, NJ in 2 weeks.

What motivates you to get out and run and why?

The same thing that motivates me to get up in the morning. Breathing!

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running?

The right way! and the left way! Otherwise I use the elastic laces!

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking?

Even when they are looking. I would not say like crazy I would say "I dance crazy"

Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days?

Rain drops are like little waterfalls from heaven. But I'd prefer a nice flurry with the slightest white on the floor around 5:30am in the morning.

Define a really funny question?

One that I get.

What is the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup?

Fancy Ketchup is homemade not given in a bottle but in a little tiny bowl with your own little little spoon.

Double knots.

Did you watch the 2011 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships last night? Crud, I didn't think it started until tonight so nope.

Who did you want to see win and why?We like Lolo Jones at our house, but I've been a little busy and don't even know if she's running so I'll say Shalane.

What is the next race you have and where?I'm thinking about a local 5K tonight, Fay's Barbecue (which is huge around here) afterward is the main reason.

What motivates you to get out and run and why? Calms me.

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running?Double knot.

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking?Doesn't matter if people are looking I dance but I have to admit to doing.. what I think are called arabesque's.. in our kitchen quite often. Its a big kitchen and has the most room in the middle of any room in the house and I can't resist using the empty space that reminds me of a dance studio.

Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days?Wintery snow days especially so much snow that the world seems to come to a halt and there is total silence.

Define a really funny question?A question that makes one snort food or beverage through their nose.

What is the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup?Cloves.

What is your least favorite movie?I love movies and can watch most anything but recently I'd say the biggest disappointment was The Box with Cameron Diaz. I wanted my money back for that one.

Did you watch the 2011 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships last night? Yep.

Who did you want to see win and why? Anybody but Lecter...if you watched the men's 10,000 you understand!

What is the next race you have and where? I'm running in my high school's annual XC alumni run this weekend. 2 mile XC race that's always fun because I get to see old teammates and friends.

What motivates you to get out and run and why? I love food and can't stand being overweight!

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running? Nope, but I double knot them if they start to get into a habit of coming untied.

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking? No, I prefer that people are watching when I make an ass of myself!

Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days? Snow by a long shot.

Define a really funny question? How about I just give an example: Have you heard of cliphunters?

What is the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup? It's entirely dependent on the price of the burger it's being put on!

What is your least favorite movie? Anything with Steven Seagal....way too cheesy.

Did you watch the 2011 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships
last night? No

Who did you want to see win and why? Didn't see it.

What is the next race you have and where? St. George Marathon - St. George, UT (I may schedule a half during a step-back week)

What motivates you to get out and run and why? Escape from indoors and the computer. Health.

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running? I love my Mizunos but they come with longer laces than necessary.
Ever since I tripped on my own shoe laces at a track once, I double knot the bow, and tuck the loops in.

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking? No. I played many a dance gig, and I'd rather be on the bandstand.

Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days? Snowy - I've got the gear, so I don't get soaked or cold.

Define a really funny question? A really funny question has humor. Humor is a complex phenomenon, and there is no general theory of humor or even an agreed definition. But humor often calls conventional social requirements into question. As such, it may be regarded as affording us relief from the restraint of conforming to those requirements. Moreover, people who have been undergoing a strain will sometimes burst into laughter if the strain is suddenly removed. Freud (1905) regards humor as a means of outwitting the "censor," his name for the internal inhibitions which prevent us from giving rein to many of our natural impulses. According to Freud, the censor will allow us to indulge in these forbidden thoughts only if it is first beguiled or disarmed in some way. The beguiling is done, he thinks, by means of the techniques of humor. It is not only our sexual impulses that are repressed by the censor, but also our aggressive ones. (I googled humor to find the most pretentious, pedantic description I could find, and this is what I came up with, Thank you Dr. Chaya Ostrower).

What is the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup? A score greater than 0.50 on the normal/fancy fuzzy membership scale.

Did you watch the 2011 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships last night?
I did not.

Who did you want to see win and why?
I didn't pay attention, sorry.

What is the next race you have and where?
Nothing planned, but I do have to look to see which fall marathon to put on my calendar.

What motivates you to get out and run and why?
Because it's hard.

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running?
That's funny! Just a double-knot to make sure they don't come undone.

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking?
No, but when nobody is around, I always find myself singing. Occasionally people will catch me doing it. Fortunately, I don't have an embarrassingly bad singing voice.

Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days?
As much as I dislike the winter, I'll take snowy days over rainy ones. We're in the middle of a horrible stretch of rainy, grey weather, so I'm particularly frustrated with the weather right now.

Define a really funny question?
The one right below this one.

What is the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup?
Nothing, but mustard on the other hand...

What is your least favorite movie?
Without question, my least favorite movie ever is A.I.
What the hell was Spielberg thinking. A 2 1/2 hour torture session about a little boy, searching for love and living a life of loneliness for eternity.
If it was a metaphor for something else, I don't even want to try to find out what. I HATED that movie.
Was I clear enough?

Did you watch the 2011 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships last night?

I was traveling and missed it.

Who did you want to see win and why?

Solinsky because he's a big guy like me, but he didn't run so I'd say Shalane because she looks like a nice, sweet, tiny girl but has a fiery competitive spirit.

What is the next race you have and where?

Probably a 4th of July 5K but I need to send in my entry.

What motivates you to get out and run and why?

I want to meet fast women.

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running?

Double knot before races.

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking?

Occasionally.

Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days?

Snowy days because they are pretty rare around here (I guess rain is too though)

Define a really funny question?

funny question: (noun), something asked that elicits laughter, chuckles, giggles, or the like upon being heard. Often is a reference to something in popular culture such as, Pardon me, but do you have any Grey Poupon?" "Who's the cat that won't cop out, when there's danger all about?" or "I'm Ron Burgandy?" Also, a question asked who's answer would be absurdly improbable.

That's what you meant by definition, right?
Smile

What is the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup?

Fancy ketchup knows Grey Poupon mustard.

What is your least favorite movie?

Slackers? I'm sure there's one that I strongly dislike, but I can't think of it at this moment.

Did you watch the 2011 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships last night?
Yes

Who did you want to see win and why?
I knew Shalane would win the 10K. She is in a league of her own amongst US women at that distance. I was pulling for Desi, but she just missed out. For the men, anyone but Rupp. Yes he has talent, but I question his toughness. The pollen levels were almost too high.

What is the next race you have and where?
Summer Roundup Trail Run 12K, Colorado Springs, CO.

What motivates you to get out and run and why?
So I can eat.

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running?
No.

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking?
No, but Chas does.

Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days?
Snowy days are better for snowboarding than rainy days.

Jeff Demps, but at the same time, if he had won, it would have been a kick in the stomach

What is the next race you have and where?
maybe tomorrow morning, 5k, south Orlando
What motivates you to get out and run and why?
The desire not to be fat. That gets me started. To keep me going at this point, apparently I have to be training for a marathon.

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running?
Correctly

Did you watch the 2011 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships last night?
No. Thursday is KickBall night!

Who did you want to see win and why?
Well the Chestnuts of course. And we did 5-1 to remain undefeated on the young season.

What is the next race you have and where?
Running my first 5K in more than 2 years tomorrow (Remembering Lauren 5K).

What motivates you to get out and run and why?
The pursuit of that perfect race.

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running?
I tie my shoes once when I first get a pair of shoes and slip them on the rest of the time. I'm lazy like that.

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking?
I try not to dance, regardless of who may or may not be watching.

Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days?
I kind of like running when it's snowing. It usually means the temps are at least somewhat tolerable for the winter. If it's really cold, there usually isn't snow falling.

Define a really funny question?
This one?

What is the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup?
The first word?

What is your least favorite movie?
Nothing comes to mind, so I'll say anything with Keanu Reeves in it. Sometimes I just watch his movies to I can get annoyed.

What is the next race you have and where? The Warrior Dash in August. Copper Mountain. I am currently looking for a trail race for July.

What motivates you to get out and run and why? The urge to murder my children. tongue JK But honestly these days, it's so I don't go postal at work hahaha I have a very stressful job and running helps with that. Of course, I love to run, I want to be fit, lose 10 more pounds or maybe even 20, to teach my kids to be active (they ride their bikes with me), and of course to run with Tim.

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running? No. Should I?

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking? I only dance crazy in front of Tim. But I have so much AWESOMENESS at the clubs.

Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days? Snowy days. We throw our boards in the Jeep and head up to the mountains. Especially a powder day. The best feeling in the world! Oh....you're talking about running here. Um........ it doesn't matter because my ass will be on a treadmill Smile

Define a really funny question? This one?

What is the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup? Can I google this first?

What is your least favorite movie? Do you have all day? Recently saw The Box or whatever with Cameron Diaz. I kept thinking it was going to get good. It never did. 5th Element. Hated it. There's another one too we just saw. Literally the worst movie. Damn what was that? Tim?

Did you watch the 2011 USATF Outdoor Track & Field Championships last night? Yes. Well, the 10,000 meter races, at least.

Who did you want to see win and why? I didn't have a clear favorite for the women but I was impressed with Shalane's performance and Kara's discipline to hit the "A" standard. The men were frustrating to watch - they jogged the first 5,000 meters, it seemed - but I was glad to see Galen "Hannibal" Rupp peel off the pollen mask and dust the field at the end to win. Yeah, he's got some challenges, but he's a heck of a runner.

What is the next race you have and where? The only one on the calendar is the Tecumseh Trail Marathon, in some godforsaken part of rural Indiana, in December.

What motivates you to get out and run and why? I love being outdoors and moving on my own two feet.

Do you tie your shoelaces any specific way before running? Just the normal way.

Do you dance like crazy when no one is looking? I'll never tell.

Which do you prefer, rainy days or wintery, snowy days? Snowy days are more run, partly because they're so rare where I live.

Define a really funny question? Something that makes you see the ridiculousness of something.

What is the difference between normal ketchup and fancy ketchup? One must extend the pinkie when pouring the fancy stuff.

What is your least favorite movie? "Doing Time on Planet Earth" - it wasn't even good watching it backward. Second worse is a huge tie between "Titanic" (ship sinks, people die. yawn.) and the last three "Star Wars" movies.

What is your least favorite movie?I love movies and can watch most anything but recently I'd say the biggest disappointment was The Box with Cameron Diaz. I wanted my money back for that one.

We recently attended a screening of another movie starring Frank Langella where he took questions from the audience afterward. I don't remember his exact words, but he considered The Box to be a worthy effort, but one that ultimately failed. I would agree with the failure part.

This is funny! I seriously just put this as my worst movie.
