NY Marathon Registration

Registration opened today at midnight, and if you enter the lottery or have a guaranteed entry and apply today, it is only $5 vs. the standard $11.

I entered half marathon event, but didn't see a place to enter the race time web URL. Anyone sees differently, let me know.

You just had to enter your time and the race name - they will confirm.

Wow, the lottery is for one of only 26 entries and you pay for the entry. As much as I want to run New York, I just can't take the popularity of it which gives them the ability to do outrageous things like this!

I will never have an interest in running New York! You time or reason I ever went to NY in the past was to see the Dead play, so it is safe to say not that Jerry is Dead and gone I mostly will never go back to NYC. 

I love upstate NY but NYC and the New York marathon I could care less about!

So sad, Schuey - NYC is a magical place (to me) and I love the experience in quantified doses.  Not sure that I could live there though.

Yeah to some point it's sad. I just have never been a big NYC person. Been there many times for some great Dead shows but the place just doesn't do it for me. 

I do think it is great that people love it and love running NYC and it works for them.

Exactly!   It's funny because I love Chicago - the city, and I love to run there when visiting, but I'm not a fan of the marathon course.  I'd come to watch though.
