First run of 2014

Post  Seth Harrison on Wed Jan 01, 2014 1:37 pm

After heaping copious amounts of abuse on my body last night, I dragged it kicking and screaming out the door for an easy 6. How about you?

Up at 8:15 and out the door by 9:00am. Headed up to Northwestern Hospital to meet up with Frank. Him and I hit the lakefront in a snow storm! Awesome

11.10 miles done to start 2014

At 730 I met a friend for 6 miles. Snow began to fall about a mile into it and really it was quite beautiful and wasn't slick by the time we finished.

Finally got moving this afternoon. Did an easy 10 in 75 min. on the treadmill while watching the USC-Wisconsin. Think I sweated off all the alcohol from last night...

18 miles at a 12:45 pace in a sultry 46 degree weather, with a non-existant sheet of 1" ice during the run.   Shocked

10 miles on the rail trail on a beautiful morning here - mid 20's and sunny, slight breeze.

Probably my last run outside for a while - snow/ice and real cold are on their way momentarily.

4.5 miles over 8" of fresh powder.  Better run than yesterday because we could run in the tire tracks, so the pace was a bit quicker!  Flurries the entire time and it was 80% humidity at 17F.  Back home in CLE and more snow is on the way - I guess that is what we saw while watching The Winter Classic.  Sorry Schueys, but we were pulling for the Leafs.

9 recovery @10:13

During the run, I was thinking fun to run 13 the day before, then 14, but I did 12+4 the day before.
