I've got Jerry beat at the half for this year at the 40-44 AG.

2012, Pittsburgh Half, 1:22:48. His 2011 time is better than mine. 2011, Philadelphia Half, 1:24:32.

At 10K, I ran a 38:48 in 2010 (W&OD) and a 39:02 in 2011 (Christmas Caper). Geesh, I need to run some better 10ks!

Is 8k the same as 5 miles for this?
I ran a 30:51 8k in 2011 (Jingle Bell).

I'm pretty sure we DON'T count 10 mile splits in a half marathon as PRs. That's where my fastest ones have been. Standalone in a 10 mile race, I've done 1:06:32 (2010 CB10) and 1:05:20 (2011 CB10). I like 10 mile races. I need to find one to do sometime soon.

EDIT - I was age 40-44 for all of these.

OK, I'll put in my 10 miler from April 2012 (Lakefront 10) just to see how long it lasts. 1:05:49. I would put up my 10K from Bayshore (39:xx,) but I see that Dave Bussard had a 34:47 at Sunburst in South Bend this year in June so what's the point. geez, 5:35 pace, that might be my mile PR. Also, since I'm so impressed by Dave and officially met him at Bayshore I'll report his half marathon time there: 1:16:01.

Actually, I just realized that the official time for the 10k is 33:46. The 33:02 is my adjusted time on the course lenght, but that was never made official. So I'll use the 33:46

Thanks, but it's not that important and I want to give credit where credit is due, that 10 miler gets me on the board for now. I think it's really cool to have a nationally recognized runner on the forum here, keep up the great work. After next year I'll be in the 55-59 and then have to contend with Michael Young. It's all for the fun of the boards!

I'm embarrased for Jerry even putting those out there. Surely I've run a 10k in 2012? Just as a training run? Ah, found one. BAA 10k, June 24, 2012, 40:53. Age 43. That's a pathetic time but it is less pathetic than Jerry's so there you have it.
