Your Week in Training Jul 21 - 27

Day miles  type .
Mon     5  easy  72°F
Tue     9  speed 73°F 4x500m 10% grade hill repeats.
Wed     8  easy  74°F
Thu     -             Pulled a muscle in my back lowering a TV to the floor.
Fri     -             You would think I would know better ... agony.
Sat     -             Rest and heat.
Sun     5  easy  72°F Still ailing, but had to make an effort. Glad I did.

2 rest days, 4, 6, 4 and a 22 followed by 10. Week 10 of 50K training done. I have yet to miss a workout for this training program and hope to keep it up till the race.

Somehow we just don't respect how old our bodies are vs. our minds.  I lifted lots of glasses and wine boxes for a tasting yesterday - yup, they are heavy.

Recovery week

Mon - Day off
Tues - Easy 5; weights & core
Wed - Easy 6
Thurs - Easy 5; weights & core
Fri - Day off
Sat - 5.5 easy with striders
Sun - 11.5 easy miles, very humid 94% but only 68F.  Drenched

WTD: 33   A bit sore and sluggish at the beginning of the week  Hit 1000 miles YTD after Saturday's run.

W - 7mi w/ 3x 3min @ vVO2max + 3mi recovery
R - 11mi easy
F - 4mi recovery
S - 8.6mi w/ 4x strides
S - 16mi trails w/ 1500' gain/loss

M-5mi fundraiser for my friend who was shot and son was killed Crying or Very sad  in this violent city. (running community really came out)
