Re: Your Week in Training Oct 20 - 26
Congrats Kevin.
Mon: 3 Easy (Treadmill at the Hotel after Detroit)
Tue: 8.5 Very Easy (8:50/mile)
Wed: 12.2 Easy (7:31/mile)
Thu: 7.1 - 2 Mins Hard (5~8K effort) and 1 Min Easy
Fri: 6 Easy
Sat: 15.5 at Dalton 1/2 Marathon - 11 Miles at MP Effort (Hilly 60+ft/mile), with 2 Mile Push (5:59, 5:41) 1:21:xx, 2nd OA / 1st AG [USATF-GA Association Grand Prix Finally, enough points to close the USATF-GA Men's Open in 1st (aka payday); more a factor of reading my email and registering that running]
Sun: 5.4 Easy (7:30/mile)
Week: 57.5 Miles
YTD: 2,295 Miles
So... New York next week. I've taken a very different strategy. Tapering, from 90 miles, with a short build up. 850 miles in the last 13 weeks (65 miles per week average); we shall see how this turns out. The goal marathon of this cycle is Jan 1st, so hoping for a quick recovery.
