Boston Marathon Charity Entry

Post  Nick Morris on Thu Jan 01, 2015 6:08 pm

After attaining my first Boston Marathon qualifying time after many attempts, I was left out of the 2015 Boston Marathon (along with 1,900 other individuals that qualified due to the size of the field) by a measly 32 seconds. So, for the last 3 1/2 months I have been applying to and getting rejected by Boston Marathon Charities, as I tried to gain a charity entrance into the race. It's been a long and frustrating process, but all of that changed yesterday afternoon. I got accepted onto a charity team and given a charity entrance into the 2015 Boston Marathon!! All that is left now is to put together a training cycle and raise the funds needed for the race.

I know that this forum is not meant for solicitations, but Below is a link to my fundraising page. I am running to support the Myra Kraft Community MVP awards program, which helps support non-profit organizations. Please feel free to share with anyone that you think may be interested in donating.

Thanks!!

A little update on my fundraising efforts.  So far I have raised $4,393, which puts me at 40% of the goal that I had submitted on my application.  Up to this point things have been going pretty well.  Thanks to everyone that has helped out!!!
