Recovery Week

Mon - Travel
Tues - 6 miles - 12 x 400m; Trainer
Wed - 5 easy miles
Thurs - 6 miles in the slush
Fri - Trainer
Sat - 10 miles in the cold and snow
Sun - 6 miles easy in the snow

WTD: 33 miles

Cutback week

M - 6.6mi recovery
T - 7.7mi w/ 4x 4min hill repeats (5.5% grade)
W - 7mi easy
Th - off
F - 7.3mi easy
S - 14.5mi easy and hilly
S - 15.8mi tempo medley*

Week - 58.9mi

*A la Michael (mtndog) - 2x 1mi @ MP + 4x 800 @ 10k (ran these a bit fast, maybe 8k pace) + 1x 1mi @ HMP

Tue - 6 x mile repeats at 6:40-6:50 pace with 2min 1/4 mile recoveries... 9 miles total with w/u c/d.
Wed - 2 mile w/u + (4x1/2 mile @3:20 w/72 sec rec) + 144 sec rec + (3x1/2 mile @3:00 w/72 sec rec) + 216 sec rec + (1x1/4 mile @75 sec) + 1 mile c/d... 8 miles total.
Thu - 2 x (
(1/4mi @2:08 + 1/4mi @2:00 + 1/4mi @1:52 + 1/4mi @1:45) +
(1/4mi @2:08 + 1/4mi @1:52 + 1/4mi @1:45 + 1/4mi @1:40) +
(1/4mi @2:08 + 1/4mi @1:45 + 1/4mi @1:40 + 1/4mi @1:35) +
(1/4mi @2:08 + 1/4mi @1:40 + 1/4mi @1:35 + 1/4mi @1:30)
)... 8 miles total...
Fri - 5.1 miles... w/7 x 1/4mi @90secs.
Sat - 15.3 uneventful miles...
Sun - 6.5 easy...
 
Total - 52.3 miles... a cutback from 66 last week, but with more intensity.
