Giving myself a whole month before I try to get back out there. Hiking last weekend put it at a 1/10, which at this point I'm trying to completely avoid.

our family is signed up for the M-22 Challenge at Sleeping Bear Dunes in Northern Michigan June 13. It's kind of a funky triathalon. 2.5 mile run including some up and down one of the sand dunes, 17 miles ride around Glen Lake and then a 2.5 mile kayak in Glen Lake. I have never ridden seriously but am now adding it to my repertoire. Bought a real nice Trek Madone around the time I started running and never found the time to ride it. Only have 200 miles on it. So I've now ridden 6, 7 and 10 miles on it since Boston. Goal is 20mph for the 17 miles. No idea if that's doable for me, but what the heck - might as well give it go. Glad I live on a lake and have a couple of cruddy kayaks. At least I'll be able to get out there a few times and paddle too.
