Re: Countdown to CIM
Yes, I typically run just 2 miles on the day before, mostly to loosen up prior to the massage.
Good luck, y'all!
Good luck, y'all!

Tim - be aware that they are serving Nuun on the race course. If you are not familiar with it, Nuun is an electrolyte drink that contains no sugar; therefore, no carbs. You will need to either carry your own carbs (gels or whatever) or take at the Gu stations. Just an FYI so you can plan accordingly.

Michele - Thank You! Very kind.
I actually knew that and am quite familiar with Nuun and have run with it for a while. Reading the nutrition section of Hansons book made it very clear to me I have not taken nearly the amount of carbs / calories in a marathon up to now, let alone drink enough water. I plan on eating a Gu every 3 miles and did this on my 12 mile MP runs and long runs and it works well for me.

Re: Countdown to CIM
Hell of a PR and hell of a race, Tim. Those splits make a negative-splitter like me all too happy.
Re: Countdown to CIM
Congrats Tim on an incredible run! I knew you would do it and you didn't prove me wrong. Fantastic! See you in Beantown in 2017!
Re: Countdown to CIM
That's great! Except... I don't remember your last name so I can't look up your actual time!! The suspense is killing me!
(But if it is what I think it is by searching on Tim in the results from the OC... WOOT!! WOOT!! WOOT!! Nailed it!)

3:49:21. I had 4 seconds faster but I'll take it.

Thanks Kevin. The stars did align...

Thanks Mike. I have to admit, i was thinking about your street as I was getting close but was having to do mental gymnastics on my splits - see my race report - and I just lost track of where I was. Beautiful area though.

Thanks 1L! I appreciate all of your advice and really look forward to meeting you in Beantown in April '17. I'll buy you a Sam Adams

Thanks Mark. I'm pretty pumped, except walking down stairs pretty much sucks right now...
