Ugh...
Damn. It's hot today.
Hope others are fairing better... it's like running in a sauna!

Nope we are not fairing better here in Chicago. If I didn't know any better I would have thought I was back in SW Florida!

I was glad that I only swam today as it is 87F (only 55% humidity now and 69F dewpoint though) right now which is extremely hot for this part of the world.

Were at 97F right now 55% humidity and 72F dew point. Looks like we are right there with the good old South type of weather today. The part that stinks is that it looks like it is going to be this way here all week long. Boy I'm just jumping for joy!

Re: Ugh...
107 heat index in Nebraska right now. We've been in a heat advisory for the last 8 days or so that won't lift until Wed p.m.
I am excited though, next Tuesday it's supposed to be low of 67!!! Woo hoo!
Hang in there, everyone, and in a few weeks it'll get better.

Re: Ugh...
I made it 2.5 out of 3 miles this morning (7:00), and that includes walking. Looks like I'll be on the indoor track the rest of the week. The good news is that I get to sleep later...

Re: Ugh...
It was 93*F here at 4PM (102*F heat index with the humidity at 52%). It felt a lot like the Oklahoma weather I grew to know in my youngest years of life! We just go a good shower and it looks like more is coming...maybe we'll be a little less toasty this evening.
Re: Ugh...
Is this a bad time to say that we're looking at a high in the high 60s over the rest of this week?

I've been avoiding checking the forecast to see just how bad it is. Thanks for the news. Gonna be a tough "easy" run tonight.

Re: Ugh...
Glad it's just not me suffering in this heat. At 5pm it's 97F. Blech. I'm hoping it's cools down a tad by 8:30pm for when I'm heading out for my run. I tried a few early morning runs this week to beat the heat... didn't work and I felt awful the entire time. Late evening runs seems to be working better for me. Stay cool everyone!

Re: Ugh...
When I came home this morning, it looked like I had been running in a major rain storm, I was soaking wet. I had to sit in cold water and run the cold water for a shower to try to cool down to go to work. Still I was sweating for an hour.

It's only 90 in south Georgia - feels like a cold front! Feel the burn, suckers
Of course I'm just kidding - please be careful out there, especially if you're not used to it.... It really does suck...

Re: Ugh...
Crazy people running long or fast or both in these conditions. I got 74 87% humidity in the morning typically. It's not good but it ain't no 97 degrees.
Re: Ugh...
Today's workouts were painful. And I heard there's a heat wave headed east... Just what we need.

I wish the hot weather would hold off until after November. and after April.
Re: Ugh...
You guys are all so hard-core. I'm a wimp and am heading to the treadmill tomorrow to be sure that I get a 'quality' run in. Okay, so it's the treadmill and probably not as quality as the roads, but it gets done in it's entirety and I survive.

The dreadmill is the ultimate torture. Bush administration should've used the dreadmill instead of waterboarding for interrogation.
Re: Ugh...
At what's supposed to be the hottest time of the day: 60 degrees. Cloudy. Some rain. Again.
Trade you.
