Turf at Soldier Field -yes or no?
I didn't realize that the field shape blocks the sun from hitting the field, creating the potholes and painted December(and apparently August) wasteland. What say ye?

It's been overdue for years. On top of that, the team is built for speed right now, both on offense and defense. Get it done already!

The turf at SF is complete joke. Is there any other professional franchise who's field turf is managed by the City's park district?
Not to mention that the City allows a different event to take place every freaking weekend.

New turf! We have high schools in Memphis with better turf than Soldier Field.
How I became a Bears fan: When asked for my wife's hand in marriage I was told by her family (Chicago Southside) that I could (a) full on convert to Catholicism or (b) become a Bears fan. No offense against practicing Catholics but . . . . GO BEARS!

Heck the H.S. I went to and played football for has a better practice field then what the Bears play on.

GO CARAVAN!? Really!? Go Caravan? Go get in your car, follow the car in front of you, and drive in a straight line. Go Caravan!
I guess that explains your proficiency on Dead Tour. You were raised to caravan from Dead show to Dead show!

I realize this is blasphemy of the worst kind, but consider she has not had you all to influence her. She begged me to buy this apparel for her when we were there for the marathon in May. I am not a big fan, I stick to the Chiefs, but she likes them and the origin was totally organic of which I cannot put my finger on.
So please don't hate! Couldn't resist posting this though.

Yes I know. The more you get to know me, the more you will be able to track my failures as a parent.... What can I say?

You know, I haven't had to use my moderator deletion powers yet, but a thread containing Mt. Carmel state championship rings and cheese heads is really testing my restraint.

it won't help. Jay Cutler will hurt his knee at a crucial moment and blame it on the new turf.

Careful there...Aaron "the Belt" Rodgers is one concussion away from having permanent scrambled eggs brain.

Ok, but who's Chicago's back up? I hear that Matt Flynn may take the job away from Rodgers this year or next(according to rabid Packers' preseason fans).

Well it looks like the back-up is going to be Caleb Hanie. The funny thing is how did the Bears get in the position of discussing whether the back-up would be Hanie or Enderle when they are something like 30 million under the salary cap? with being that far under you would have thought the Bears would have gone out for a better back-up, hell I would have thought the ears would have gone looking for a QB right after the NFC Championship game.

That's OK. We still have Ted Thompson.

I'm perfectly content with Haine as our backup. He knows Martz's system better than anyone else you can bring in and played just fine when it counted in the NFC title game.
The unfortunate truth is that just about every team in the league is screwed if their QB goes down. No team is winning a title with Hanie, Matt Flynn, Brian Hoyer or Curtis Painter running the show. And yes, that's the only time all year I'll be able to group the Bears with the Packers, Patriots and Colts.
