Very Happy Funny, as long as no one was actually hurt in the thing. If we hear tomorrow that a bunch of people died, I'm going to feel bad about laughing at the picture.

Yeah, laugh it up. This is a serious event. That photo may appear comical, but it's hardly representative of the damage that occurred as a result of this catastrophic earthquake.

Pfft.

As a friend from Southern California liked to say...

Want to feel a 5.8? Pull my finger.

My wife just said to me:

"Is that a 5.8 or are you just happy to see me?"

My response:

"Nah, you'll know when you see the Loma Prieta" (SF 1989 quake was 6.9)

5.8. I wish.Sad

Very Happy Smile Very Happy Funny, you guys. I'm a former So Cal gal...5.8 doesn't sound like much but then the east coast isn't as prepared as the west coast where a 5.8 barely gets a comment.

Heck we had a small jolt here in Indy a couple years ago and I thought...hmmm..that couldn't have been an earthquake could it? (stayed in bed) Gene, on the other hand was running downstairs to see if a car had driven through the living room.

Truly awesome.

How the hell did Chris end up surrounded by wine bottles at the exact second the quake hit? That takes talent....

My question is, "How much free wine did he consume?"

I admit: I texted the ladyfriend to make sure she was okay. Apparently one of the older buildings at her university had some minor damage to it. So, I was (kind of) justified.

...I hate you guys.

This thread is pretty funny. I just hope the cracks in the DC monuments are not serious. We don't have any money to fix them. Sad
