Is two weeks enough time between a half and full marathon with a desire to run both well? Most recommendations call for the last tune-up race to be a bit shorter and about three weeks out. Thoughts?

the half before the full? I guess it depends on how well well is. I don't know that I'd go all out on a half 2 weeks before a full but I'm sure people do it.

4-5 weeks. 2 weeks, risk too high to get a bad cramp from the half to say the least. Besides, I like to take a long run to purge all the junks out of the body before taper. lol!

If you are going to run the half all-out, I would want longer than that. I think you'd be better off to do it more like 4-6 weeks out.

I just ran a HM pretty much all out and would not be recovered enough to run a Marathon ALL OUT 2 weeks later. I think 4-6 is more ideal 3 being a stretch 2 to many what ifs?

I've done them 3 wks apart many times and will be racing a half on 10/16 and NYC on 11/6. I recover from a half pretty quickly even when I race, and that is when my tape will begin.
