No beer in my frig, now or ever.
I had one in college in 1970 - none since.
Just not part of what I do.
That's alright...I commend you for making choices and sticking with them

I'm guessing the quality and taste of beer have changed a LOT since then - might be time to try again!

Nice - just had one of those. I do hear they age well. It was a little too syrupy for me, but was still a good drink.Ken Mello wrote:Sierra Nevada/Dogfish Life and Limb 2 - outstanding beer, but very strong. I've put one away to age a while, so I think it will get even better!

My poor fridge is empty right now, and will stay that way until October 9th. Why must we start this thread NOW? So many great fall beers!

Hey I am thinking because I did my first 20 miles of 2011 this morning, do I deserve a beer? Screw Jerry's weight.

Sadly, I have but 2 Bud Lights. I did have 3 but I used one in the crock pot with my short ribs on Monday. I was very sad that I had to use Bud Light, but I was desperate and out of beef stock.
On the other hand, I have an outrageous apple/caramel trifle in my fridge right now for Rosh Hashana.
I promise I'll restock the beer. Soon.

Not sure I can comment.
I don't store my beer in my fridge! COLD BEER lacks flavor! Cellar temp is the best way to enjoy a beer. Try it. Take two bottles. Put one in the fridge one in the corner of your basement. Wait long enough for the basement beer to come to room temp (no, this will not hurt it) Sample both and you will see.....Oops. Not sure this works with mass produce beers. Usually COLDER is better with the Lites of the world, so your tastes buds freeze up and you actually cant taste anything!
anyway in my corner:
GREAT LAKES Elliot Ness
METROPOLITAN Dynamo
BARLEY ISLAND Barfly IPA
DARK HORSE Crooked Tree IPA
NORTHCOAST BREWERY Old Rasputin

An update: the pumpkin ale is disgusting. If it hadn't been Smuttynose, I never would have bought it. I have no idea why I did, I don't like flavored beer.
