I'm guessing the quality and taste of beer have changed a LOT since then - might be time to try again! Very Happy

Nice - just had one of those. I do hear they age well. It was a little too syrupy for me, but was still a good drink.

My poor fridge is empty right now, and will stay that way until October 9th. Why must we start this thread NOW? So many great fall beers!

Sadly, I have but 2 Bud Lights. I did have 3 but I used one in the crock pot with my short ribs on Monday. I was very sad that I had to use Bud Light, but I was desperate and out of beef stock.

On the other hand, I have an outrageous apple/caramel trifle in my fridge right now for Rosh Hashana.

I promise I'll restock the beer. Soon.

Not sure I can comment.
I don't store my beer in my fridge! COLD BEER lacks flavor! Cellar temp is the best way to enjoy a beer. Try it. Take two bottles. Put one in the fridge one in the corner of your basement. Wait long enough for the basement beer to come to room temp (no, this will not hurt it) Sample both and you will see.....Oops. Not sure this works with mass produce beers. Usually COLDER is better with the Lites of the world, so your tastes buds freeze up and you actually cant taste anything!

anyway in my corner:
GREAT LAKES Elliot Ness
METROPOLITAN Dynamo
BARLEY ISLAND Barfly IPA
DARK HORSE Crooked Tree IPA
NORTHCOAST BREWERY Old Rasputin

An update: the pumpkin ale is disgusting. If it hadn't been Smuttynose, I never would have bought it. I have no idea why I did, I don't like flavored beer.

6 Schlafly Weissbier (oops, make that 5!) - these are limited summer production so I've gotta drink 'em!
1 Sierra Nevada Estate Brewers Harvest 2009 (24oz)

1 Firestone Abacus Reserve Series 2011 (22oz)

1 Boulevard Brewing Collaboration #2 (750ml)
1 Deschutes Brewery Conflux #2 (1pint 6oz)
These 2 beers were conceived when the brewmasters from Deschutes in Bend, OR and Boulevard in KC, MO had dinner one night and talked about what kind of 'new beer' they'd like to brew. They collaborated on the recipe, and Boulevard brewed their version while Deschutes brewed their version. The results are outstanding!

Added: 1 Pannepot Reserva 2008 Old Fisherman's Ale
Added: 6 Amstel Light... drank 3 of 'em...

Not in the fridge - but in reserve;

Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA - about 8 four-packs
Flying Dog Double Dog Double IPA - a couple of four-packs
Founder's Red's Rye - a sixer, just in case.

Just got back from a trip to Boulder/Denver where I had some Great Divide Yeti on tap - gotta get me some of that!!
