A few more marathons
A lot of trail runs of varying distances - mainly 50K - 50 miles
Composing even better songs and musicals as the years continue to roll by.
Beware that North Country trail is brutally hilly!

Yep! I have heard about that - at least we are not talking mountains! Exclamation
They have 2 training runs with aid stations - April and July - I plan on doing the April run.
Before church last Sunday, I was talking to one of our sound guys - he has ridden his bike up there in that area and he said it was not flat too. I have heard it described more as rolling hills with steeper ones at the beginning and end of the 25 mile loop. I will be training soon in a nearby state forest and Brown County State Park - I think that should get me ready. I also could use the Tecumseh Trail for training. Doing a 100 miler may be a far out dream, but if you don't have dreams . . .

Thanks for the warning though!

My musings:

If you can't swing Hood to Coast, this is worth looking in to.

I did it last year and had a great time. Calistoga to Santa Cruz may just satisfy your Napa fix as well. I'm a slow-ish runner that could fill out a spot too!

Whil I love the Napa Marathons, I don't think it is comparable to Medoc or Berlin. Maybe I'm spoiled because it is my basically "home" race, but London, Paris, Berlin, Medoc, Venice, and even something like Montreal all are more "destination-like" in my book. With that said, Napa is still a great race!

Eesh - I drove through Leadville last year to go white water rafting. Amazing place, but I can't IMAGINE running at that elevation! Good luck.

Not sure if you ever looked into the Lake Tahoe week of events...no 100s, but I'm sure you could find something to enjoy.

- Something really tough like Mt. Washington or Pikes Peak

So from mountaindog's Bucket List, I'm already accomplished all but run JFK and Comrades, so I guess they'll be on my list. sunny Actually, I've always wanted to run Comrades and I think time is running out on that one fast.

IF I did the Leadville, my wife and I would go out there at least a month before the event to get acclimated.
I would probably go out there and do the Leadville Trail Marathon a year in advance to see how it goes.
My life will not be incomplete if it all does not work out.
So we will see what happens!

Looks like we have a bunch of potential Comrades. I've been toying with 2013 like Diego. Anyone else?
