Agreed. Looks like the rain stopped just before the race, but still wet on the roads, I would imagine.KBFitz wrote:Looks like conditions were not a total bust anyway. Some fine running out there amigos -- nicely done. And nice job tracking oz.

Nice job everyone! You represented out little group well!! Looked like much nicer weather this year after a bit of confusion before the start.
It was a bit hectic here this morning so I wasn't able to watch the race unfold as much as I would have liked. I did pop in occasionally for an update and was able to catch both the men's and women's finish. Pretty exciting. USA didn't do to bad.

Nice running out there, guys! And thanks to those who tracked y'all during the event.
(But really: How does Micheal just keep getting faster every year? Seriously impressive!)

Next year 2020 Boston will be my 20th Marathon and maybe just half's after that! ha ha

Re: 2019 Boston Marathon tracking thread
Thanks all for following along. Weather turned out to be humid and warm about the time I started and the sun came out in full force through most of the race. I was not really prepared for the warm temps especially since it was torrential rain when I boarded the bus and it was still a bit overcast and only about 60 when we started. Of course, the sun broke through when I was around mile 3 and then it began to "sprinkle" when I was crossing the finish line only to rain hard when I was walking back to my hotel. I'm very pleased with my race even though I folded in the last couple of miles.
Re: 2019 Boston Marathon tracking thread
Well done! Glad you were able to enjoy the race in spite of your injury.fostever wrote:Thanks for carrying, most of my family doesn't Had hamstring injury in Feb. with 6 weeks to go, then 10 days off, was able to due minimal training after that so just had a solid 18 long run then some walk run walk walk. Best of luck for Boston next year. And then enjoy your "retirement".

Re: 2019 Boston Marathon tracking thread
Congrats to everyone that ran - well done.
Michele, you are amazing. I've run 6 marathons and only one did I train for and run well. CIM in 2015 I ran 3:49 which got me my BQ. You run 3:49, ho-hum, pretty much at will.
Michael, as I said in my text, I'm super impressed. I cannot run 1/2 mile downhill at the pace you run 26.2 miles at. Makes me shake my head... nice job...
