Notifications/emails of posts
I don't seem to be receiving email notifications to topics I am watching or have posted to. Do you only get notification if you posted the original topic?
In my profile it appears that I have everything selected properly to ensure I get these notifications and I have checked my Spam folder and notifications are not there either.
Thanks for clearing this up for me.

Re: Notifications/emails of posts
Hey Steph, So you have checked Yes for Always notify me of replies :. Note that you can change this each time you post. So if you select 'Yes' when it was previously 'No', you may not get a notification for new replies to threads you posted in when it was checked 'No'. I don't know this, but it's possible.
The notification function itself works. I checked 'Yes' and within 6 hours went back and checked 'No' because I was getting an email for every reply and it was ... well ... annoying. This was early in the life of this board, so I can't remember if I got notifications only from threads I started or every thread I posted to, but the function itself worked.
Give it some time and see if it comes around. Else .

Yup, I have 'Always Notify me of replies' selected. I'll monitor like you suggest. I don't think it's a matter of me not receiving notifications for posts I had originally selected as 'no' but I could be mistaken. I have also noticed a lag in getting an email compared to when the reply was actually posted, but I'll keep an eye on it.KBFitz wrote:Hey Steph, So you have checked Yes for Always notify me of replies :. I have just the opposite...I have been trying to get rid of the notifications for when a new member joins. Haven't quite got that one figured out yet.

Would that maybe be under 'Profile' and Topic(s) being watched?Nick Morris wrote:I have just the opposite...I have been trying to get rid of the notifications for when a new member joins. Haven't quite got that one figured out yet.

I have tried unchecking everything in the profile in regards to notifications to no avail. It's not that big of a deal and at least I get to see who is joining.

We don't want you checking email while driving, thus disable that function.

Re: Notifications/emails of posts
After some monitoring of the situation, I am definitely not receiving all the notifications I should be. It seems I receive a few notifications early on in a topic, i.e. after the first 2 or 3 replies, but once the thread gets longer, I receive no notifications. Anyone else noticing this?
