Of note, when I googled my name, I found myself on mapmyrun and mapmyfitness, and just deactivated my account. I'm furious; it has my name, city, and my running routes all accessible to the public, without my permission. (The point of it is to connect with friends / other people in your area that run/bike, but when I signed up for it years back, that wasn't the case.) So if you use that site, you may want to change your privacy settings. Otherwise, anyone (rapists / serial killers included) can just find out your running routes. The internet is a great thing, but you can never be too careful anymore.
