Prelim Napa head count for a bite?
Yes, it is early. But it if we want to try to get together for a bite, it makes sense to get the ball rolling as the good places to eat fill up in Napa, especially for larger parties at prime times.
Historically, we've had a late lunch/early dinner on SAT. I'm open to other suggestions as well.
Anyone interested, approx headcount and dining requests? The last few years we've gone to (in order of the places I like):
http://cindysbackstreetkitchen.com/ An awesome Bay Area Chef, her flagship is Mustards but this place is similar, more casual and easier to get a table for a large party
http://www.bistrodongiovanni.com/ Another top Napa restaurant - not terribly formal, but more so than CBK
http://www.travignerestaurant.com/pizzeria.html Very casual
http://www.realcheesepizza.com/ Never had a "get together here", but another idea that is super casual, chain, but probably good carbo loading place. Actually bumped into Dave-O here last year.

Is this happening? I'm considering a last minute entry in to Napa via a race/hotel package ... who all is running it this year?

Just me and Glenn so far. I made a res for 6 at Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen @ 4:30, for Glenn +2 and me+4, but my 4 might only be 3 or 2 due to kids sports weekend.
PM if you are interested.

One of my ATC teammates is running and she was tagged as a "elite". Her marathon PR is 2:50 or so, but that was a few years back. However, she should run in the low 3s.

She gets a nice warm bus at the start I bet. And if she wins, she gets her weight in wine!

Probably I won't make it for the race (or a dinner) ... too expensive for me to do it on a whim. Maybe another year!
Good luck to those running it!

Too bad she is sooooo skinny despite the fact that her hubby runs a local microbrewery.
