What is your running song?
Most of us have a song that gets us motivated or gives us that little extra push while running. What is your running song? One of the staples for me is Welcome to the Jungle by GNR.

I have a bunch -- but the theme from Rocky always gets me going.

My top 5 in no particular order:
1. My Chemical Romance - Welcome to the Black Parade
2. Thursday - Paris in Flames
3. 30 Seconds to Mars - Closer to the Edge
4. Yellowcard - Believe
5. All-American Rejects - Move Along (will forever be associated with Heartbreak Hill for me)

Usually anything by Hall and Oates will do it for me.

Actually, I think Yanni is second on his list. Followed by Michael Bolton...

Without a doubt, top two = Let's See How Far We've Come (it's also my ring tone) and Move Along.

Re: What is your running song?
I have a fairly wide variety of music styles on my iPod.
Rock, bluegrass, and a lot of contemporary Christian tracks including this one - "Today is the Day".
I met Paul Baloche at an Integrity Music Songwriters Retreat in Alabama about 10 years ago.
If I am struggling and this song kicks in - I am good to go.

Sooo would this guy be in the wheelchair competition or just run on the wooden leg he's supposed to get? Another nice contemporary Christian band, aye?GregC wrote:This is my song this week...

Re: What is your running song?
My top ten current favorites are:
Don't Look Back - Boston
Don't Stop - Fleetwood Mac (or the Glee version!)
Don't Stop Believing - Journey (or the Glee version-more upbeat)
Roll With The Changes - REO Speedwagon
Raise Your Glass - Pink
Carry On Wayward Son - Kansas
Never Been Any reason - Head East
Lose Yourself - Eminem
I Like It - Enrique Iglesias
I Gotta Feeling -The Black Eyed Peas
Next year my top ten will probably be totally different. Last year I was listening to tons of hip hop while running. This year it has been more classic rock. Although Don't Look Back has consistently stayed in my favorite list for a couple of years now.
