Grandma's 2011 - My 24-minute PR

Great game plan, negative splits, excellent coaching and a massive PR. Not sure you could ask for more.

While a whole training cycle leading into NYC and all that confidence, it seems like another big PR is on the horizon.

Nice job Sara Jane!!! That's an incredible performance and a springboard to bigger things ahead. It was nice to finally meet you. Hopefully it won't take another four years to see you again. Keep up the great work!

The bad news is that I doubt you'll ever have a PR that large again. The good news is that you run a freakin' 24 minute PR.

What an amazing performance all considering wow. SO happy you PR'd and did so well. You looked great in pics sure you were running a marathon?

Thanks for having us over to your house and sharing your friends and family - and yes, your course report really helped in those last 6.2 miles.

Again, Congrats on a crushing PR, I too can't believe how good you looked in the closing miles!!

Thank you, everyone, for all of the kind and encouraging responses! I am still on a high. I am so proud of what I accomplished and feel so lucky to have Wendy by my side as I continue. She has not only become my coach...but also an amazingly awesome friend. I feel so lucky.

Dave-O: That's actually exactly what I intend to do, actually. No bad news for this girl.

Matt: Unfortunately that "guy" who posted that was a gal, we know who she is, and I think she is such a miserable and hateful and unhappy person that "eating crow" would never even register. Doesn't matter.

Pete, Glenn, Matt: Thank you for coming to my beautiful town! And my (mom's) house! Sorry the weather was a bit crazy - but hey, we gave you a great tailwind...and I hope the spread at dinner was sufficient. I know all of my friends and family really enjoyed meeting all of you. We all had a blast.

V/I/365 Team: Thanks for your support. Sincerely. It has such a big part of my running since 2006 or so...and I am forever grateful. So many of you have been a big part of my desire to be better, and stronger, and faster. To hear that my race was an inspiration just floors me. I love it. And yes, I was THAT happy at mile 24.
