Very similar to the Kinvara Tim. Before I went through about five pairs of the Pure Connect this past year or two I ran in the Kinvara 2. I think the main differences are:
- the Gorun 2 is wider in the forefoot
- it has a removable insole with no exposed stitching in the footbed so it can be even more minimal
- it is less built up / higher off the ground than the Kinvara. And thus at least an ounce lighter.
- it's more flexible than the Kinvara (because its simply less shoe all around)
- but I don't see it lasting as long as the Kinvara since there is more exposed midsole on the bottom of the Gorun 2
With the Kinvara 3 on clearance of $65 or less on Running Warehouse you can't go wrong either way. Both can be had for $65.
Try the GoRun 2 as long as its through RoadRunner or something so you can return hassle free if you don't like it.

Give me 2-3 runs though as I thought they actually required a break-in run or two. Purely to soften up the midsole. But they are still pretty soft right out of the box.
So, I only have four miles on the shoes, but here is my first opinion:
- The shoe is light
- The toe box is nice and wide
- The upper is seamless and fits my foot well
- I am a midfoot striker, so the sole plays well with my running style
- Cusioned ride
Like I said, I have only got four miles on them, so it will take a few more runs at longer distance to get a good feel for them. So far, they are a decent shoe.
