Your Week in Training Mar 3 - 9

Day miles  type .
Mon     -        30°F Heavy Snow. Shoveled. Threw back out.
Tue     -             No way.
Wed     -             Still no go.
Thu     -             Could have, but didn't.
Fri    10  slow  43°F
Sat    12  easy  58°F
Sun    10  race  43°F St. Pat's Day 8K at a leisurely pace 34:25.

Hope the back is fine now Kevin.  Lower mileage week for me, feeling tired.  Ran a very hilly 20 on Saturday and felt every mile.  Only good news is that I ran it as fast as last week's 19.

Mon - Core class, No running
Tues - 6 easy miles outside - still more ice & snow than I'd like; Work with trainer
Wed - Easy 5 outside.  Core class.  Tired
Thurs - 7 miles with 8 x hill.  Still more ice than I'd like causing me to use the closer hill.  Work with trainer.
Fri - No run, Day off
Sat - Hilly 20 miles.  Left my running buddies at 14 and finished fast(er).  Ran 20 over very hilly course (3296' of elevation gain which is a lot for around here) in the same overall time as my 19 on the flat last week
Sun - 3.2 recovery miles.  Kept HR very low and didn't really worry about time.  

WTD: 41.2 miles   Less miles than usual but it was a tough week

YTD: 387 miles

Another treadmill week for me though a 45 degree day last week and a 55 degree day for tomorrow brings hope for outdoor running this week. Starting to hit the heavy parts of training and lots of aches and pains, though nothing seems serious.

Mon - 6 miles easy
Tue - 9.3 miles with 4x1.5 miles Hanson tempo
Wed - weights
Thu - 10.5 miles with 9 miles MP
Fri - 6 miles easy
Sat - 10 miles
Sun - 11 miles

Week - 53 miles
YTD - 523 miles

Lighter week after jogging the Albany Marathon with a friend last weekend.


Mon: 11 Miles
Tue: 4.5; 4x 0.25 (~1:12)
Wed: 11 Miles
Thu: 10 Miles; 4x 1Miles  (5:41-->5:12)
Fri: Rest
Sat: 9.5 Miles; 5K: 16:53 - 1st OA
Sun: 16 Miles


WTD: 62 Miles 
YTD: 587 Miles

69 Miles for the week.  Strained hamstring on Wednesday in a combo interval-tempo run.  Limited my mileage for the rest of the week.  Was well enough by Sunday to trudge through an 18 mile progressive.  Still hurting but on the mend.
