My blog is locked?!
What the heck.
I just realized my "Building A Better Bumblebee" blog lost a good year's worth of posts. It now "begins' last month, midway through a conversation. Not a good thing.
I looked a bit more and discovered that there's ANOTHER "Building A Better Bumblebee" blog in the list, but it's LOCKED.
Why? I'd thought maybe there was a 40-page limit, but I just checked and found several other similarly long-winded blogs that have more pages than this one, and they're NOT locked.
Hoping we can figure this out. Losing work, or access to it, is highly problematic.

Re: My blog is locked?!
It appears that the Forumotion platform has a limit of 990 messages in the thread, after which it locks the thread and splits to a new one automatically. There is no way to change it.
I do see that older threads have exceeded 990, so I am left to assume that this was a change that was made in the last year or two. It probably relates to the indexing demands placed on the servers when the reply counts get very high. I'll keep poking around the support forums, but it looks like a hard limit.
EDIT: After looking more it appears that this limit has been in place since at least 2006. I'm not sure why a couple of threads have over 1000 replies... but they are all Mark B threads.

Cough... cough... ahem.
(BTW, I can understand how that could happen. I'm glad it didn't simply delete older posts, and instead left them intact and started a new thread.)
