Mon     5  easy  64°F
Tue     - 
Wed     7  speed 64°F 4x500m 10% grade hill repeats.
Thu     8  easy  75°F
Fri     - 
Sat    12  race  74°F National Police Week 5K 20:14. No top gear.
Sun     -             Happy Mother's Day!
Week   32
YTD   773         Time for serious speed-work.

I hear ya on the no more top gear, Kevin!

Mon - 5 easy, core class
Tues - Drive to Boston
Wed - 5 easy in hometown
Thurs - Drive to Cooperstown, Ithaca, Geneva, NY
Fri -Drive home
Sat - 10 easy with group
Sun - 6 easy with group

WTD:  26 miles.

Fully recovered, daughter home from school - all is right

Ramped up a little bit this week, will taper next week then try for a marathon on 5/18

Mon - 4 miles
Tue - 8.5 miles with 6x1 at Hansen tempo pace
Wed - weights
Thu - 8 miles at MP
Fri - 5 miles
Sat - 7.2 miles
Sun - 9.8 miles

Week - 43 miles
YTD - 939 miles

Good luck, John.  It is supposed to be much cooler here on the weekend for the Cleveland marathon and I hope it will be where ever you are running.

Thanks Michele, it's a local race near me. The story of my marathon life is being repeated  Smile : Thu 54 degrees, Fri 54 degrees, Sat 60 degrees, Sun 66 degrees. Oh well, it will start early so hopefully it will be cool then. I am assuming you are NOT running Cleveland?

R - 5 miles (37:45) avg. pace 7:33, 10 miles (1:06:40) 6:40 progression run last 10 mins moderate

F - 6 miles (47:30) avg. pace 7:55, 12 miles (1:23:15) avg. pace 6:54

S - 14 miles (1:38:42) avg. pace 7:03 progression run last 10 mins moderate, 4 miles (32:00) avg. pace 8:00

S - 6 miles (45:00) avg. pace 7:30, 5 miles (40:00) avg. pace 8:00

No, I'm just pacing the 4:10 group for 15.8 miles (that is in front of my house) - only half if that is all my cold allows.  It is only supposed to be 60 here.
