CIM Tracking Thread

Post  Mike MacLellan on Sun Dec 07, 2014 12:59 pm

We've got Michael and Tom running, and I've got 2 friends from Sac running as well.  Figured I'd make a thread.

Tom - through half in 1:46:51 (8:10 pace)
Michael - uh, I thought his last name was Young?  I guess I'm wrong.  Can't find him.

Neither of my friends have even registered at 10k yet.  Must be something going on with the chips.

Thanks, Kevin.  Wonder why I couldn't find him by name.

No updates for Tom yet.

Found one of my friends, through half at 1:55 (goal was a little under 4hr).

Michael's in at 2:53:52.  Looks like he'll be 4th in his AG.  Not too shabby for an old guy.

Tom's at mile 20 in 2:43:50 (8:12 pace).

Woohoo!!!  Congrats to both Tom and Michael!  See you in Beantown in 2016!!

I tell you that Michael's family has the right genes - his sister, Jill, ran with me in Atlanta and she is still running sub 3:30 at 50+.

Thanks for tracking guys.  Was a great race from my perspective.  Will post a report sometime this week.  Obviously I'm pretty happy.  Beat Chelsea's family record by 3 seconds.  Ha.  She can't let an old man hold it.  Will motivate her to come back from her surgery stronger than ever -- but in the meantime I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it!!!

missed Tom personally, but we were in constant text mode.  Will have to meet him in BOS.  I'm sure he's pumped.

If I had met Michael after the race I would have had to start with "I'm not worthy" to go with the bow at his feet.  He IS one fast dog!
