Re: Keeping Up With The Kar
Where would y'all like to see or visit? No, I'm not paying for it, nor does it have to be a running locale. Just places on your bucket list.
Anybody? Well, I guess I'll start.
I'd like to see the Northern Lights because they look so cool. The other place would be Normandy. It just a place talked about and filmed that I think I almost need to go.

Been to Normandy - highly worth it. My FIL was DDay +3 and received an award from the French Gov't in 1995 - we went too.
I'd love to see the missing parts of the US that I have not been to: Montana, Wyoming, Idaho and Alaska. Sorry, Julie - but other than to see you or Jon or Peg, Nebraska didn't make my list along with Kansas. Those are the only states I have not visited which ain't too bad for an East Coast gal.

Wow, this could be a big list...
Thailand, to show my wife and kid where I served, and see how the place has changed.
Orkney, to see where my most recent ancestor hailed from. And the rest of England, while we're at it, and Paris.
Egypt or some other place in Africa.
etc.
I haven't been to DC or NYC yet, either. Never been a priority, but it would be interesting.

You've got a tour guide in DC for at least 3 more years. I'm sure Kevin/Chris would be willing to take up the responsibility if/when I leave down.
I like travelling where I know locals. I don't know many locals in places that I haven't been to yet, so I don't really want to go many places. Pacific NW does seem pretty cool, though (not just reciprocating, Mark). My uncle is in Canada (6hr east of Vancouver), so I guess there too?
EDIT: Cuba with Aileen's family. That'd be a trip.
Re: Keeping Up With The Kar
Cuba would be cool and I hope to get there someday as well. Now with Aileen's family - that would be a trip.
Re: Keeping Up With The Kar
I think going ANYWHERE with Aileen's family would be a trip.
We do have that guest bedroom, Mike, as long as you aren't allergic to Fluff. He sheds so much, it's like tumbleweeds.

New Zealand. Been to a lot of places you guys have mentioned. Some are just fantastic -- Thailand, Paris, Normandy, Vancouver, Victoria. All awesome.
Might get to the Badlands and Black Hills this summer with the kids. That area has always intrigued me. Never been.

Re: Keeping Up With The Kar
We're headed to New Zealand this winter to visit one of our exchange students...and then on to Australia to catch up with my host family. It helps when you have people to stay with.
Hiking in Patagonia is the next big trip on my wish list. Antarctica is the trip I'd really love to do but not sure I'll be able to swing that one.
There are several places I'd love to go hiking right here in the USA as well. Our options are limited as we can only travel in the winter but still lots of opportunities.
