Brooks T7's - reviews??
It seems they run real small ordering a 13 now as 12 with orthodics was way to tight. Anyone use these shoes I am considering using them for track work and short distance races at best and using my Ronin 3's for Tempo Runs and GA moving my ROnin 2's to Long Runs only as I still can't find a good Long run shoe.

Do you mean the T7 racing flat?
Kenny did you mean to say T7's by brook?
They are only on version 5 for the ST's
If you are talking about the T series by Brooks, yes the shoe does run a half size small. I normally wear a 11.5 but wear a 12 for the T series.
I have been racing all my marathons and other races in this shoe since 2009. The first time I used them in a race was Boston 09 and at the the time it was the T5.
For me I can't stop speaking volumes of this shoe and love it. Every year I try to find a shoe to replace this shoe as my racing flat and I have yet to find a shoe that I like more then the Brook's T series to race in.
If there is one dislike to T7 that I could go with or without that would be the new lacing system. Other then that the rest of the shoe is the same as it was going back to the T5 for the most part. With the T6 they did make the shoe a little wider in the forefoot which I like.
Other then racing in them, I also use the shoe for the track (when I do go which is pretty much never), long runs and for Tempo runs.
It sounds like it isn't enough shoe for you for the marathon but I'm sure you could do 5k, 8k, 10k , 10 mile and maybe even a half in them. I think that once you start racing in them you will love them.
I tried the mizuno's before for racing and well I just didn't find them as comforts as the T series, I really like the feel they give me to the road. They feel very lite on my feet and soft. I just love the overall feel that this shoe gives me. I also believe there is enough cushion and support in this racing flat, especially if you are using an orthotic in it.

Re: Brooks T7's - reviews??
I have run in the T5, T6, and T7, and echo what Schuey had to say. I really like them for shorter races and up to the half marathon. My negatives are the word Brooks emblazoned across the toe and that I wear through the outsole on the toe fairly quickly. For the last reason, I only wear them for races and don't use them in training. Other than that, I really like them.
I did have a pair of the ST3s and didn't like them very much, at least for shorter, faster running.
Re: Brooks T7's - reviews??
Thanks so much. Problem is they jump from size 12 to 13 and I have a feeling 13 will be way to big. It just sounds big. Ill have them Next week and see what happens. If not I will be on it (looking) like a wolf on a bone with BBQ sauce for another shoe.
Re: Brooks T7's - reviews??
I had the size issue too. I decided to stay with 12s instead of going up to 13s, but i like racing shoes snug anyway. They've worked for me so far.

Without the orthodic I can get away with the 12 but I aint running without them. I have blurr 33 coming in as a long run shoe maybe see how those fit. I never had so much trouble finding new shoes. I might be stuck with ronins for a long time.

Got my size 13 fits great will see how they perform for tomorrows LT run.

Ok very cool they just refunded me the difference. I ain't buying a second pair yet want to run in them a few more times.
THANKS!
Re: Brooks T7's - reviews??
Ran in these for the first time tonight. I think I've found my shoe for the half and shorter for sure. I'm not 100% sure it's enough shoe for the marathon for me, but I'll figure that out before Chicago.
Just an awesome shoe. Light, great support, and the low profile just makes me feel fast!
