I think it is too late to transfer. I had one up for transfer and I think the cut off date was in September.

Your friend can still defer though. I'm thinking of doing that with mine. I kind of doubt I'll run a fall marathon next fall or, if I do, it will be an earlier one since I want to run 2013 Disney, but I figure I might as well cough up the $30 for the option just in case.
