Shes Back !/ Mommy was right
This doesn't have too much to do with running but oh well here goes. My youngest daughter Madeline has decided she misses basketball ( I told her she would) and she is switching schools at semester to go to Loras college in Dubuque IA. It's a very good school,as well as a program where she will be able to play basketball. I'm very excited ! It was so much fun to watch my other daughter play in college ,and my husband and I thought we were done with it,since Madeline decided not to play because she had a very bad senior year experience, coach problems, it happens.thats all changed and we will be on the road again driving all over Iowa to hear that sweet sound of swish swish bounce bounce yipee woo hooo duhawks here we come................

How very cool. Unfortunately, my daughter does not play a college sport and will be far from home when she goes off in September. However, she most likely won't be far from the Grandparents or the Boston marathon course

yeah, that's pretty cool.

Congratulations, she will like Dubuque. We lived there for about 5 years back in the early 90's and really liked the community, and Loras is a good school. The only drawback is their are no major interstates that go through there, but I do believe they have improved a couple of the highways to 4-lane.

I don't get what a big deal it is.
Wait, my 9 year old girl decided to play soccer this past fall. I even got involved as an assistant coach. It's been tons of fun.
So congratulations, Amy!

There's nothing quite like collegiate sports. I hope your daughter enjoys every second of it!

I am very envious of you. My D graduated in May after 4 yrs on the ice hockey team and 3 on the golf team at Bowdoin College. What an experience for her. Unfortunately it was a 15 hour drive for us or a $400 flight, so we were only able to get to a couple of weekends each season. But I miss it so. Enjoy while it lasts.
