Rock Gut 15K
Rock Cut 15K Trail Survivor Series
Today was a nice day weather wise (38F sunny) The trail of course was messy, lots of mud and long stretches of melting ice. The 15K of this race is always grueling with a rope climb, a steep rocky ledge climb and a stair decend and climb with unending hills and dales. Short story here is 2 face plants on sharp muddy turns and a shoe displacement on the stairs that set me back a few minutes trying to force it back on without untying, aarrghhh. This was just when I caught a glimpse of my AG rival who I was catching. Anyway, long story short, I passed a few guys and just came up short by about 30 seconds of getting an AG win. Unofficial 17 overall 2nd AG (5054) 1:08:20 (7:20pace) The final race in the series will determine the overall series winner. I still lead with 380 points to 375. It's either one of ours to win. My rival friend is running the San Diego half the Sunday before so I may have an advantage in this friendly rivalry.

Sounds like great fun of the grueling kind. What's the distance of the last race in the series?
Keep your eyes on the prize.
