Houston Marathon increases cap for 2013 Empty Houston Marathon increases cap for 2013

The 2013 cap for both the full and half marathons in Houston was increased to 25,000, an increase of 1,000 runners. If I remember correctly, the split for both 2012 races was 13,000 for the full and 11,000 for the half marathon. The next race is January 13, 2013.

And as one of the photos indicates in the link below, you get the opportunity to see and shake hands with former President Bush #41 around mile 19 on Woodway.

Hmm, while I thought things thinned out, it wasn't really until the split, and I'm more of the front-middle of the pack. Adding 2000 more runners could be a challenge.
