Compression socks
I'm looking for recommendations for compression socks. I have a pr from when I was pregnant but they're kind of stretched out so they're really needing to be replaced (and these weren't for runners, they were from a medical supply store with a prescription). I do have painful veins in my legs, probably genetic since my mom and grandma has them, too, but after running it would really help to have a pr that I could keep on all day. If anyone has any advice or recommendations I appreciate it.

Re: Compression socks
If Kenyans don't wear them, I don't.

Re: Compression socks
What about Kenyans with leg pain? Or Americans with leg pain?

Re: Compression socks
I have the cwx ones and like them just fine. I also have the Zensah sleeves and I like those better for recovery wear, but they are thicker so they get kind of warm in summer.

Thank you Carleen. Would you wear them out and about? Would they look OK with shorts? I hear you on them being hot. Mine are pretty miserable in the summer, and add jeans on top of them and it's not really practical.

Re: Compression socks
I've tried a number of pairs and CEP are easily the best. If you are between sizes go with the smaller size.

Unfortunately, they are not cheap. But they definitely hold the compression much longer than any other sock I have tried. Years in fact.

I only wear the sleeves out in public under pants, which does get pretty warm.
Re: Compression socks
And I'll add that I wear mine quite regularly under dress pants / under jeans on the airplane. One of the nice things about the black pairs are that you can wear to work. But then again I've also worn the neon green color to work as well. People loved (and by loved I mean hated) that pair. But I'm known for wearing crazy socks so I didn't mind

Re: Compression socks
Thanks Ben, those are less expensive than my current ones, if the price is for a pair not a single sock (they're for a pair, right?). I just got some birthday money, too, so I will definitely consider these.

Re: Compression socks
I love my CEP socks as well, and I wear the hot pink ones under jeans all the time.
Re: Compression socks
I am not as adventurous and just got the black ones.
