Philadelphia Marathon - Pre-Race Dinner

A bit premature maybe but I recall restaurants booking up pretty quickly in Philly.

Anyone going from the forum? So far I know it will me + 2 and another friend doing his first marathon and his family of 3.

So total of 7 people right now. Let me know.

Like to book Maggiano's tends to be a consistently good place.

I won't be in until Saturday night but I'm game. I'll be by myself most likely.

I will be there as well, put me down for two people. Prefer no later than late afternoon / 5:00 PM or so as I don't eat a lot the day before a marathon.

John and Jim I'll put you down. I'll try to get a 530 reservation if that works for everyone. Jim I'll pick up your packet if need be.

I called Maggianos and for whatever reason they will not allow me to make reservations for more than 8 people. They said they can't guarantee a spot for more than 8 and from the looks of things we have 10.

So, I made reservations for 8. It leaves 1 spot at my table and then I'd suggest another table for other people. I am going to try again tomorrow morning to speak with the General Manager.

Any suggestions, please let me know.

Also, looks like I'll be able to get my own packet since my hotel is right next door to the expo.

I made 2 reservations table for 8 and a table for 3 so far since they would not allow more than 8 at one table?

I will call Maggianos and add you to the table of 3 and make it 4. The reservation is the same time but under my wifes name Laurice Parrella (Baldo).

Update!

My friend backed out of the race so I made reservations for one table for 6 people.

I sent a text to Scott C to see if he can come. I'll call him tonight if I don't hear back.

Scott is a tentative yes for the dinner. He'll confirm the week before.
