So, how's the weather where you are?
I just finished clearing the driveway for a second time today and we've gotten at least a foot of snow today. Unfortunately, the wind chill is making just a little too cold for the kids to go out and play in the winter wonderland. I think it'll be a while before I can hit my trails again. Expecting a high of -2 tomorrow, but back to above freezing by mid week. Crazy stuff!

Still in the early 30s and raining very hard here in Cleveland. It is supposed to drop in temperature and turn to snow. School has already been cancelled for most of the suburbs and the city. It isn't supposed to get real cold until later tomorrow and Tuesday. We will see.

22 deg, wc of 7... We are now under a Blizzard Warning here in Northern IN. Everything is closed for Monday. Just saw the only vehicles allowed on the roads are emergency & snowplows. About 12 or so inches of snow on the ground so far today... Running outside would be impossible. Did 10 on treadmill today, probably double up tomorrow on the TM, since I probably won't be able to leave the house...

Uh, 73 here in SoCal today. Ran in short sleeved shirt this morning when it was about 55. Wife and I ate lunch outdoors on the patio at a local restaurant.
Yes, I am an ass…..
(Yes, this is unseasonably warm even for here. Problem is we have had almost zero precipitation and are experiencing the Santa Ana winds off the desert right now so we have a real fire danger)

62 this morning, then 46 in 20 minutes. It's supposed to be 26 in the morning with winds of 10-15, then 21 on Tuesday morning. Temps 50 miles north of Houston is supposed to be in the mid-teens. All ambient temps.
But we're back to 63 for a high on Wednesday.

Currently 31° and clear, with clouds and showers expected tomorrow, with a high of 44. Pretty average, really.
Hoping we get rain soon. Last year was one of the driest on record for these parts. (Though not as seriously drought-stricken as where Tim lives.)

Yesterday was 30 and 20+mph gust, I struggled, but eventually decided to finish 16 to celebrate my 16 years journey of immigration. There were bad miles and good miles, very much the same as the 16 years. The key though is to finish it.

That's what we're dealing with in STL this morning too. 10 minutes outside clearing off the driveway and my car to head in to work this morning and my fingers were frozen.

Re: So, how's the weather where you are?
I went riding in shorts yesterday - well, I did use leg warmers for a while but they got a little toasty and I took them off. I think it was upper 50s with little wind. A run afterwards felt very comfortable. It is supposed to be 16 tonight though and we will all feel like dying....
Hope everyone out there is OK through this - I feel really bad for homeless people and those not able to fend well for themselves. Tough...

Re: So, how's the weather where you are?
It's down to 4F here from 19F this morning. I ran 3 miles outside and 2 more on the treadmill as the wind was debilitating. We only have a dusting of snow and will only get maybe 3-4" here on the west side of the city. Of course, parts of the eastern suburbs may get as much as 15". I can thank lake Erie for something.
Re: So, how's the weather where you are?
-17 degrees when I woke up this morning at 6am. The wind chill was only -51 degrees.
Currently(10:30am), the weather is up to -16 degrees and the wind chill is -41 degrees.
Just AWESOME!!!

It was about -8 on Saturday morning, but warmed up yesterday and was about 55 and raining when I headed to work this morning! Supposed to dive back down this afternoon/evening, and remain cold, but not bitter cold.
Crazy winter.

Lovely, frozen Lake Erie (it is down to -1F). This was taken from my kitchen window. It freezes overnight in mid-wave.

It was -8 this morning and we're expecting a heat wave so Wendy and I are waiting until 2pm to run in the 12 degree warmth.

Re: So, how's the weather where you are?
I got in 6 miles this morning with the temps at 5 degrees and a wind chill of -15. All things considered, it was a fairly comfortable run. I just layered up and covered as much skin as possible. What really surprised me was when I stripped off all the layers afterward, I had worked up a pretty good sweat that went right through the fourth and outer layer. Couldn't do anything fast as the I found the body really uses up a lot of energy retaining heat. I'll probably opt for a tempo run indoors tomorrow.
Here's me with my way too gray winter growth after the run.(sorry it's sideways)

So, would y'all, up on the tundra, say that keeping warm during the cold weather running could be equivalent to my issue of keeping cool & running in the heat 'n humidity in the summer in Texas?
In other words, what I go through in the summer, y'all go through in the winter? Not judging, just curious.
