New American Record Men's 10,000m

Rupp ran a 26:48 in Brussels to break the US record. Some guy named Bekele showed up and won with a world leading time. Rupp was 3rd in the race.



Amazingly the US will have the world champion in the women's 1500m and the number one ranked and world leading time as well. And they're not the same woman. Morgan Uceny just missed going sub 4 today and is ranked number one. Jenny Simpson of course won the gold.



And today also, the 200m record was threatened and it wasn't by Bolt. Yohan Blake could have broken it if he got out of the blocks better. He ran 19:26. His reaction time was horrible.

Yeah, but I refuse to pay for the premium package just to get Versus and Universal sports. I guess they KNOW that runners are generally in the upper income bracket. Saw the highlights on their website and that's good enough for me. NBC ran all the major Diamond League meets so I'm done, stick a fork in me. They could use some different announcers once in a while for variety, lie Shorter or Salazar or somebody! I'm about ready to go into an Entertainment Tonight seizure with those guyz?
